Awareness Champions are Alzheimer's Association volunteers who build community awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and engage people to become involved in the mission in a pursuit of a world without Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementia. Thank you for your willingness to spread awareness to help the Association reach more individuals.
As an Awareness Champion, you will:
- Deliver occasional, brief Alzheimer's Association awareness presentations to community leaders, member organizations, partner and sponsor organizations and the public.
- Provide information about Alzheimer's Association programs; connect community members to education and support; and increase community involvement in various Association initiatives including Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and The Longest Day.
Awareness Champion can expect:
- To commit ~ 1 hour in preparation time with online training to deliver occasional awareness presentations.
- Local mentoring by a fellow volunteer or staff partner and help determining where to speak.
