I am a mother of one beautiful daughter and blessed with three beautiful grandchildren. I am a retired pharmacist and very fortunate to be a big part of my grandchildren’s lives. My mother lived with dementia for 7 years before passing away. I worked full time while caring for my mom. She had a caregiver while I was at work, but I was her caregiver the rest of the time. I saw first hand how this took a toll on our whole family. We were very lucky that we took care of my mom in her own home and learned a lot along the way. I understand the frustration that families go through with Alzheimer’s and just want to be a support to others in my community.
